March I went to Langtang trek with my 2 sisters, Bhakti organized our trip. He have fluent English and well knowledge about mountains, but most importantly, he is a decent and sincere man.
In the first 2 days of trekking, my body situation was fine, but 3rd day when we arrived in Kyanjin Gompa(3798m) I started to have AMS symptoms around 6PM , in the initial just headache, but it getting severe within 2 hours, dizzy, continue vomited and couldn't walk! The tea house boss suggested us next morning need to call the helicopter, but.....my traveling insurance which I bought in Taiwan didn't cover the helicopter rescue in mountains ! If call the helicopter I need to pay several thousands USD by myself! And that night my symptoms got worse very quick, don't know how would it be if wait till next morning. Actually that time I already had mental preparation about next morning need to call helicopter and pay high bill by myself, but Bhakti immediately made the decision, he requested porter carried me, and himself carried the big trekking bag and all our small bags, that night we 5 ppl used headlight went down to Language village, when we arrived in tea house already late night, and my situation getting better after altitude descent.
I know many guides like to call helicopter for guests when they have AMS, coz same time guide also can get a big commission from helicopter company, this is a extra income for them! I'm very lucky to had Bhakti as my guide that time, he and his porter Nir carried me and very heavy bags walked in the snow land at night, and all the way took good care of us and made sure for our safety, I'm really appreciated his help !!
In the future if I have plan to visit Nepal again, Mr.Bhakti and Big Sky Treks is the only choice to me ! Highly recommended !

We went to Nepal in Apr/2017 and planned to go EBC route. On the second day we arrived to domestic airport, we thought just wait for a few hours we can get on the plane and fly to Lukla. But unfortunately, we waited 7 hours and the airport announced all flights will be canceled due to bad weather, we were soooo disappointed and had many question and some grumble to Bhakti. He tried very hard and patiently to explain the situation and suggested us to alternative route instead of keep losing time waiting at the airport. (Some trekkers already waited 2-3days in the airport but still cant get on the plane!)
We finally changed to ABC Poonhill circuit. Then he started to make the phone call to arrange all the transportation, accommodation, permits and most important porters. All the schedule and arrangements were far beyond our expectation, we can have hot shower everyday and visited some local places!
Mr. Bhakti can speak fluent English and very nice. His crews were very friendly too although not good at English. All in all, we had a great time with Big Sky Treks and we are already planning to visit Nepal again in 2018.

My husband and I did two trekking trips with Bhakti. The first one was in Oct 2013, during my 7-week pregnancy. We planned to do Poon Hill Trek initially, when Bhakti gets to know my condition, he convinced me to change our original plan and suggested another safer and easier trekking route (Australian Camp) for me.
I was so grateful for the advice given because I realized that I was not as fit as how I imagined I would be. With Bhakti's help, we completed our trek and return to our home safely. Bhakti's fluent English and his patience gave us very good impression.
Because of the unforgettable trekking experience we had for the first time, in Oct 2016, which is last year, we decided to bring our 2.5-year-old boy and another 3 friends to visit Nepal and do trekking with Bhakti again.
This time, besides trekking, we had the opportunity to visit his hometown in Lumle, a beautiful mountain village in Pokhara and celebrated Dashain Festival with his family. We really impressed by the warm hospitality from all of them and enjoy very much of the quiet and peaceful atmosphere around the village. I really love to see how the other villagers, especially the elderly people interact with Bhakti - I believe only a man with good personality will receive so much love from the people around him.
I would highly recommended Bhakti and Big Sky Treks for the excellent service and thoughtful management!
I first trekked with Bhakti in Nepal in December 2002. Since 2002 I have been back to Nepal no less than 17 times and I have trekked with Bhakti on 15 of those occasions in the Annapurna and Everest regions. We have done ABC several times, the Annapurna Circuit Trek several times over Thorung La and Everest Base Camp Trek climbing to the view point on Kala Pattar.
Bhakti is superb. It is such a relief to be able to rely on him to make all of the trek arrangements including permits, flight and hotel bookings etc. His english and organisational skills are exceptional.
I have no hesitation in recommending Bhakti for all trekking and travel plans in Nepal. He is very considerate, attentive to detail and 100% trustworthy. We trek together as friends and it is always a wonderful experience. I specialise in bird watching in Nepal and Bhakti's knowledge of the birds and animals is extensive and very helpful.

We joined a Poon hill four days trek with Bhakti. He is an experienced and professional guide, all the food, transportation and accommodation were well arranged. Especially he can arrange the car back to the town in Nepal new year eve and have a lot of nice place for taking photo
Poon hill trek with Bhakti. Trek was in 2011. That was an amazing experience to know Bhakti. He is a professional guide, very nice and pleasant person. He cares about any minor detail to make your trekking experience a life time memory.
After the unfortunate cancellation of the flight to Lukla, Bhakti helped us to arrange the Poon Hill Trekking in a short period of time efficiently. I am truly thankful for his hard work. The trip to Nepal had been amazing. The scenic points were great and beautiful. I am looking forward to my next trip to Nepal with Big Sky Treks.
I would like to give all my recommendation to Big Sky especially Bhakti, Arjun and Bharat !!! They are all very kind to us and gave us all the suport we needed before, during the trip and even after the trip !
Before flying to Nepal we were just contacting via email and Bhakti has given us a detailed itinerary of the trip and the equipments' list for trekking in case we have forgotten something before we started trekking. Because the highest altitude of this trekking route is at 3210m, we were worried about the high altitude sickness as this was our first to reach such high altitude, Bhakti assured us that it was seldom happened in this route if we trekked slowly pace by pace. His assurance and detailed planning of the trip gave us confidence in completing the whole route !
During the trekking journey, as Bhakti was on another trekking, we were led by Arjun, a professional, passionate and friendly guide. He shared all his trekking experience with us and we talked about many issues about Nepal we had a lot more understanding in the culture and history of Nepal ! Arjun and Bharat (our porter) took good care of us during the whole journey and always assured us for enjoying the whole trip rather than chasing the schedule of the trip (We were on schedule anyway :P). Arjun settled all our meals and accommodations during the whole trip and provided many fruits during trekking and made sure that we are in healthy condition to trek! Our porter Bharat also deserves a credit as he was so professional because he could trek in a very fast pace even helping us to carry our heavy backpack. Except for trekking, Arjun also gave us a good care in the city of Nepal. He picked up when we arrived in Kathmandu and took us to sightsee the capital of Nepal - Kathmandu and also the urban part of Pokhara. He also accompanied us to the airport when we left Nepal and we are now good friend after the trip :D !
We feel so grateful and want to give all of our gratitude to Bhakti, Arjun and Bharat !!!
If you plan to trek in Pokhara hill or Annapurna or even the hardest Everest, you are finding the right companion to guide you !!!

My friends and I arranged for the Langtang trek in April 2015. Despite it being 2 years ago, I still remember greatly about the beauty of the trek and the hospitality provided by Bhakti and his team to us.
I was always the slowest in the group but he Bhakti never rushed me to walk faster or keep up with the pace with my group. Most of the time, it would only be me and him. Even if he needs to go over to secure our accomodation first, he will make sure that there would be 2 of his teammates around. They are porters, carrying all our big, heavy loads but because of my slow movement, they could not reach the accomodation early. However, all they did was support me and told me it's getting nearer, and nearer. They even asked if I needed some hot tea to rest before moving on especially on one of the days there was quite a huge snow shower, not to the extreme of a snow storm but definitely superbly cold. They took care of us a lot.
Seriously, a lot of care was given just to make sure we are safe and happy. I am grateful for all the great hospitality they have provided. He also helped us take a lot of great photos and has a general knowledge of birds.
Choosing Bhakti (Big Sky Treks and Expeditions) was a great choice of ours and it would be yours too. I would like to thank Bhakti, and team for every great experience in Nepal.

I've gained an excellent adventure experience in Nepal. Bhakti is our tour guide, with his rich experience & networks, he well managed our journey on the right track. For instance, traffic is a super uncertain matter in Nepal, the demand of vehicle is extremely high but time is relatively less. He could deal with it & arranged us a private car to drive us for departure during their new year holiday. It provided us with a safe & trustful experience.
We shared a lot of local stories & culture in our sharing time. We talked a lot of the changes of Nepal's tourism industry. A lot of fun & memories!!! :))) Thank you so much! Bhakti!!!

Quite tough but was a amazing and wonderful memorable trip. thanks u for Bhakti and the portals supported our 16 people team all the way to the ABC without injured. the reason behind was because of the believe in - "Fun and Safe" for the 7days hiking. appreciate bhakti and the team, u all entitled the best ever. hope u to see guys again Sept 2018 with my children this round for another amazing life journey experience and create a wonderful memory moments. together we are ONE.
This is our first time hiking in Nepal. We took 8hrs local bus from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi. Quite interested to see on top of bus carries those animals such chicken, goats... as we never saw it before in our country. We arrived Syabrubesi about 6pm and stay a night in Syabrubesi .Started our hiking at 2nd days. I can't to explain the scenery we saw it when we hiking really beautiful. Until now I still can remember it. Bhakit is an experiences tour guide and well managed. Thanks Bhakti gave us a great experiences. See you next time.

His English is good and it is happy to chat with him, he is willing to teach you many things regarding mountains and Nepal local.

Trekking to EBC is really a lifetime experienced for me and we were so lucky to have Bhakti as our guide. We all really have fun together and we share all the ups and downs together too. Bhakti is such a patient and motivated guide. If it's not because of his encouragement and motivation, I would have gave up half way! It is such a memorable trip for me and I think for all my friends too....Nepal trekking, once is not enough! I will be back again for another trekking in the future and of course will engage with Bhakti and Big Sky Trek again.
Bhakti is experience and reliable hiking guide. He took good care of our team and explained well to us. He helped us on our gadget preparation to ensure our safety during the hiking tour.
One of our teammate was sick and not able to proceed. Bhakti coordinated us well and arranged his mates to help us to complete the whole journey. He always the last person in the line, to ensure our security.
Recommended to take Bhakti as your guide if you are planning to have a hiking trip in Nepal.
Bhakti cares on his guests, and he cares on the living of his porters, and in return the whole team cares about you. I have no doubt to explore other areas in Nepal with Bhakti in the future.

“Namaste Nepal @ Lantang trekking ”
Amazing location and view, it was a really memorable experience.Do the lakeside trail or walk up the rock pile for stunning views. Pros: Amazing stream and snow capped mountains. gives ouran opportunity to explore Lantang National Park, villages, climb small mountains and to visit glaciers.Area is famous for its natural beauty and wonderful climate with superb snow capped mountain views.
The guide Bhakti good experience, I would give him a five star rating.
Ps : Next time I will remember bring our country flag.

“Excellent guide, highly recommended”
I booked my poonhill trek woth Bhakti and everything was perfect right from the start. Bhkati is patient and reliable. He speaks fluent English and has yeas of bird watching experience. This was a plus as he could explain to me the type of birds we came across during our trek. Bhakti would adjust the pace according to your physical capabilities and he always put your safety first. I thoroughly enjoyed the trekking experience with Bhakti and has no reservation in recommending him to anyone
His (Mr. Bhakthi) experience and understanding of the mountain (route, tea-houses, point of interest etc) had greatly helped us to enjoy the trek. He observes and suits the journey to our physical condition. When we are in good condition he pushes us to go a little bit further and when we are tired he calls for rest/meal at tea-houses.
I still remember in one of the tea-house he was directing the cook, when the kitchen was preparing fried noodles & fried rice for us, making sure the food suited our taste.
Another occasion when he suffered from hay fever caused by allergens from flower which exhausted him, he still determined to continue the trek. We "forced" him to take a nap as the allergic reaction and allergy drug had affected him much.
All in all, a wonderful experience i gained from the trip. A big congratulation for starting the company and definitely gonna have more trips with your company.
I had a 4-days trek to Poon hill long time ago and thanks our guide Bhakti to schedule everything well and nice to share his experience to us.
My friend needed a doctor accidentally at 2nd night, Bhakti was trying to do his best even it's hard to find a doctor at that area and that period.
Recommended to take Bhakti as your guide if you are planning to have a hiking trip in Nepal.
My 13-day trip in Nepal is a pleasant one and I am glad that I have Bhakti as my tour guide. I have a number of criteria when I select tour guides and Bhakti ticked all the boxes. First, he speaks very comprehensive English. This criterion sounds easy to meet, but I found during my trip that lots of other tour guides struggled to speak comprehensive English. Second, I am very happy with the itinerary he designed for me. The itinerary was rich, compact and meaningful. I didn't feel wasting any time and missing anything. Last but not the least, Bhakti is a very skilful trekking guide and I always felt during the trip (I had a 4-day trekking) that I was in safe hands.
One final thing I would like to highlight. A few years back, Nepal suffered from a very bad earthquake which badly hurt a lot of innocent Nepalese homes. Bhakti kindly initiated a program to gather money from other countries and brought the needed resources to the ones to suffered. I always think Bhakti is not only a good tour guide but also a great man.
Trekking is not easy and it is not without risks, and thus it is important to reply on a tour guide with skills and conscience. I genuinely think Bhakti has both.

Went for the EBC trekking with Bakhti and we are more than happy to did the trek with him. Not only he speaks good english, he is also responsible, respectful , genuine and helpful. The EBC trek took about 11 days and it required certain level of stamina, A guide is strongly recommended for those who are not familiar with altitude trekking. Bakhti took care of every single details of our trek and it was very enjoyable to did the trek with him. We enjoyed our time there and would strongly recommend this company to friends and others.
My Annapurna Circle short trek was in 2011 with Bhakti. The trekking guide Bhakti and his team are so professional and attentive who simply take care of everything you concern or need during your trekking. What's more, they know the routines so well that they will bring you to some secret corners or spots while trekking, that most trekkers may be unaware of, with scenic views and local culture. They simply know what you need and give you everything the best as much as they could.

Went for Annapurna Circuit Trek with Bhakti. He spoke fluent English, an experience and reliable hiking guide. We were so lucky to have him else we couldn't make it to the top.
He motivate and encourged us when we gave up on the half way when hitting to the top.
It probably the best and the most memorable trip i ever have. We sure will back again with him for another trail of trekking in future.

We did the Annapurna circuit with Bhakti and his band of merry helpers, it was a life changing experience for us, we realised how little material possessions can mean in ones life, he was a great guide and cared continuously for our well being and comfort, he spoke english well and we enjoyed comparing photos taken. We would recommend him to be your guide anywhere anytime and always felt he was HONEST with us
It was about a ten days Trekking route of ABC, There are so many amazing views there(Pokhara Lake,Poon hill sunrise, Fishtail Mountain, Annapurna base camp...), and we were so lucky that Bhakti was our tour guide.
Bhakti is a very nice guy and very professional. And You can comunicate with him in English, There will be no problem.
If you are going to Nepal and you are looking for a tour guid, I strongly recomand Bhakti, He will not let you down.

We did the Annapurna Base Camp in April '15, and were lucky to find Bhakti. He found us great accommodation, and I noticed everyone knew him, and respected him. I asked him a lot of questions about plants and animals and how locals lived, and it was clear he really knew what he was talking about and had the language skills to express it. He was very humorous and patient and observant. On our way down, the terrible earthquake struck; we were very grateful for his attentive guidance and calm presence.
